2019 TOMODACHI Generation Summit, TOMO Voices: Daiki Hirai
2019 TOMODACHI Generation Summit, TOMO Voices September 8th 2019: Tokyo, Japan. Daiki Hirai participated in the TOMODACHI Microsoft iLEAP Social Innovation and Leadership Program and decided to create a full-scale business upon his return. He is now the Representative Director at NPO CLACK and provides programming lessons to low-income high school students. Daiki is currently a Senior at Osaka University studying Engineering. 2019 TOMODACHI Generation Summit, TOMO Voices: Lauren Nosworthy
2019 TOMODACHI Generation Summit; TOMO Voices September 8th 2019: Tokyo, Japan Lauren Nosworthy, TOMODACHI Alumna, participated of the TOMODACHI Kakehashi Inouye Scholars Program and upon returning to the States, began an action plan to encourage her community to support local consumption and production in Hawaii. Lauren is a recent graduate of Hawai'i Pacific University where she obtained her Bachelors in Psychology and will begin her Masters in Social Work this Fall. 2019 TOMODACHI Generation Summit, TOMO Voices: Shigetatsu Nishigai
2019 TOMODACHI Generation Summit; TOMO Voices September 8th 2019: Tokyo, Japan Shigetatsu Nishigai, TOMODACHI Alumnus, participated in the TOMODACHI MUFG International Exchange Program and the TOMODACHI US-Japan Youth Exchange Program. Shigetatsu became interested in how science can be integrated to lead disaster prevention and reconstruction of cities after he experienced the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake as a resident of Miyagi Prefecture. Shigetatsu is now at Princeton University, studying Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
